Our Church

As a Church of England school we are linked to All Saints Church, Coddington. Our pupils attend acts of worship at All Saints Church, each term, to celebrate Harvest, Christmas, Easter and other special occasions during the Christian and school year.

Children and their families are invited to celebrate Christian festivals at All Saints Church each year: Mothering Sunday, Easter, Remembrance Day, Christingle and Christmas.

Groups of children also visit All Saints Church to learn about specific aspects of the Christian faith .i.e. worship and spirituality.

We are also fortunate enough to have two year groups visiting Southwell Minster each year for a Time Travelling experience where they extend their learning of Christianity and are able to worship in a in a different holy building.

This academic year representatives from the Choir School at Southwell Minster have been into school to teach Worship songs to Year 4 pupils, which they performed to their parents.

We have daily Collective Worship at school, sometimes in classes, year groups, key stages or as a whole school. Worship takes different forms including; listening to stories from the Bible, learning about people of faith, praying together, singing Worship songs, reflecting on life, sharing spiritual experiences. Older children are encouraged to take ownership of Collective Worship whenever possible by selecting prayers, songs or readings based on a topic of their choice.
