Welcome to our School Orchestra page. The School Orchestra is run by Mrs Oxley. The current list of dates showing when Orchestra is on this term is shown below.

If you would like to get involved with our Orchestra then please either contact Mrs Oxley directly or contact the School Office for more information. Please also look out for the Music Notice board which is in the dining area near the School Office.

General Guidance

If you already play an instrument then before joining the Orchestra we would expect you to be able to play a minimum of five notes the exception to this are percussion instruments.

Tuition Options

In collaboration with Nottinghamshire County Council we are able to offer a number of Private Tuition options which are normally provided in small groups. Tuition is currently available for Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Violin, Cello and Guitar. Due to high demand for places there is currently a waiting list for Music Tuition which you can join by contacting the School office. The School Office can also provide further details including prices for Instrument hire and lessons.

The School Orchestra play an important part in the School and play each year at our Christmas Celebration and Summer Concert. We also take part in the annual Primary Young Musician of the Year Competition. smiley
